From the 28th-30th December we did a Haggis Adventures 3 day tour of Scotland. Day 1 we headed towards the Highlands, getting a running commentry of Scottish history. We stopped at the William Wallace memorial, the castle the 'Frenchies' controlled in Monty Python's Holy Grail, visited Hamish the Hairy Coo (Scottish for cow), and stopped for lunch at the Green Welly, our first play in the snow. We saw some magnificant mountains, Ben Nevis (the biggest mountain in Scotland) and The 5 Sisters, and even had a snowball fight! At the end of the day we reached the Isle of Skye, where we stayed for the night at 'Saucy Mary's', she used to flash her boobs at viking ships as they sailed into the bay!
On day 2 we spent the day driving around Skye in the wind and rain! The weather was just dreadful! We went for a walk on the side of this mountain to have a look at a waterfall. It was lovely, what we couldd see of it through the rain spraying in our eyes. It was so windy we had to almost crawl and the wind was going sideways! hmmm...fun! i spent the rest of the day wet, but from the bus we saw some great scenery...well, when we could actually see!
Then back to Edinburgh on day 3. We got to see the most photographed castle in Scotland, some stone circles, watched a show on how the people use to live and dress way back, and of course what would a trip to Scotland be without seeing Loch Ness!! We finished the day with a walk up a mountain to have a look at a beautiful view of a gorge.
