This truly is the centre of the universe! On Christmas day we flew with Air India from Heathrow to JFK airport (yes, we did have curry for Christmas lunch!). We caught the subway to our hostel, then found a bar close by where we sat and drank Cosmopolitans.... ahhhhh.... New York! We spent the next 12 days exploring everything Manhattan has to offer; Central Park, the Gugenheim, 5th Avenue, Tiffany's, The Empire State building, the Statue of Liberty, Maddison Square Garden, Soho, Little Italy, Grand Central Station..... shall I go on! We ate a lot of fabulous food and drank our fair share of cocktails. It was fabulous!! The only thing we missed out on was snow. We had unusually 'warm' weather for that time of year. We were most disappointed that we didn't get a white Christmas.
